Intellectual property and license

MurOS is an open source fork of OPNsense, ported to Debian Linux. Portions of MurOS are derived from OPNsense source code (originally Copyright Deciso B.V.) and are used under the terms of the BSD 2-Clause License; those copyright notices and license terms are retained in the project repository. The MurOS software as a whole is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later (GPL-3.0-or-later), with which the BSD 2-Clause License is compatible. You are free to use, study, modify and redistribute it under the terms of that license. The full text is available in the project repository.

The "MurOS" name and logo, and the text and images of this website, belong to the project publisher. Trademarks mentioned on this site (pfSense, OPNsense, FortiGate, Debian, and others) belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively only. MurOS is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Deciso B.V., the OPNsense project or Netgate.

Personal data and cookies

This is a static website. It does not use tracking cookies and does not collect personal data through forms or analytics. Standard technical logs may be kept by the hosting provider for security and operational purposes. If you contact the publisher by email, your message and address are used only to reply to you.
